Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American stage actress and producer, is known for playing in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She graduated with an B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actor also known as producer and director. She works in television and film. Aunjanue L. Ellis began her acting in the theatre. In later years, she was a part in television shows in independent as well as mainstream film. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. On BET's amazing show The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. In addition, she be praised by critics for her performance, but she also received a few awards and nominations. She began her career as an actress in 1995 as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. In addition to the Broadway production Come and Gone, she is also credited in Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film work is highlighted by her appearances on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her part as a character in ABC's drama police series High Incident earned her praises.
