Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a child of the mixed race family of South London in England. She is English as well as her father is Nigerian. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14. In London, she studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was awarded. At school, she was a part-time actor in numerous stage plays, such as the King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her first role in a film was in Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Then, she played Elisha on a BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie in the six episodes of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi, the lead role on ITV2's comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also starred as the lead character in How to lose friends & betray people that was aired by Sony Pictures Entertainment 2008. Some of her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 when she appeared on her thriller The Beautiful Life. The drama aired for just two episodes before being cancelled on The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge in February of 2011. In late May 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe, who played a regular role in the two previous seasons, had decided to quit the show after a guest-appearance in the premiere episode of the season's new episode. On the show Salem, she played Tituba between 2014 and the year 2016. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into an extended family. Her parents were Roy and Patty Leggat. The four brothers she had were also in the family including twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletes, play baseball during the summer and played hockey in the winter months. Ashley was never able to actually walk. She was a dancer. So when she was two and a half and a half, she joined Baby Ballet. Ashley developed a passion for dancing shortly after she joined the Baby Ballet. After graduating from High School, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. She was the top soloist in important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which were all given to Ashley.
