McKayla Rose Maroney retired from athletic gymnastics, and went on to become a singer. She took home both silver and gold medals at the vault competitions for both the American gymnastic team and The Fierce Five in the Summer Olympics of 2012. Her early life. McKayla Rose Maroney, daughter of Erin (died in 2019) along with Mike Maroney, was born on the 9th of December on the 9th of December, 1995 in Aliso Viejo.
